What if it’s possible to believe the right things about Jesus—even to be around the things of God—while still trying to remain in control?

In Acts 8, Simon witnesses God doing something completely new. Old divisions are falling, people are receiving the Holy Spirit, and lives are being changed. But Simon tries to reach for this new life in a very old way.

This Sunday, we’ll consider the difference between making room for Jesus in the life we already control and allowing Jesus to become Lord of it.
