Managing the Lean

Jun 7, 2026    Pastor Michael Perez

Most of us know what bitterness looks like when it explodes. The argument. The fallout. The drama everyone can see.

But what about the kind that never explodes?

The kind that just settles. Quietly. The kind that feels less like bitterness and more like wisdom. Like discernment. Like knowing who is safe and who isn't.

So we learn to manage it. Keep it stable. Keep the surface looking right. Never fully deal with what is actually underneath.

This Sunday we are in Ephesians 4 and we are looking at what happens to us — and to the communities we are part of — when we get too comfortable managing the lean.
